I am an applied economist with over twenty years experience working on African development issues.  My main fields of research are labor economics, industrial development, and urban economics.  Before coming to Suny New Paltz, I spent four years at the University of Oxford as Project Manager & Senior Researcher on the Urbanisation in Developing Countries project, funded by the Multi Donor Trust Fund on Sustainable Urbanisation of the World Bank and supported by the UK Department for International Development.  I enjoy teaching and have taught economics courses at universities in the US, UK, and Africa.
